4MIN News July 15, 2013: ISON Conjunction, Delta Spot Develops

I truly appreciate the amazing work of the incredible young gentleman known as Suspicious 0bservers. He has a sensible head on his shoulders, possessed with a wisdom that one could only dream for at the same age. I’ve noted his concerns about Comet ISON for a while now, namely the electromagnetic effects of its orbit upon neighbouring planets and innocuous drifting space detritus (i.e., those in the Asteroid Belt).

ISON is certainly an enigmatic comet, I’ll give it that. To quote my Sister from last November: ‘I am unable to comment as to whether this will be of any substantial threat to the Planet. There are too many variables at this stage’.

My own personal feeling is that we should keep a trained eye on ISON’s progress. I certainly can comprehend the frustration felt by concerned observers as to the true reasons and motives that lay behind what would appear to be NASA’s intransigence in temporarily turning either STEREO A or B’s focus on the Solar System’s new visitor.

That said, we don’t have to depend upon NASA. This Planet is blessed with a multitude of gifted amateur astronomers and space observers who are perfectly capable of watching the skies for us. The very same group are also not afraid to voice exactly what they see in the skies either.

Thank you to the ever-wonderful Annette for posting today’s video from Suspicious 0bservers. You are both beautiful souls – and you are truly appreciated 🙂
