” Try not to resist the changes that come your way….
Instead Let life live through you….

And do not worry that your life is turning upside down….
How do you know that the side you are used to
is better than the one to come….”

“The moon is a loyal companion.
It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast,
knowing us in our light and dark moments,
changing forever just as we do.
Every day it’s a different version of itself.
Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light.
The moon understands what it means to be human.
Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.”

Outside the Lines

Oh, how this sums me up perfectly… the woman who never fitted in yet has now embraced that fact with open arms 🙂 And do you know what? It’s perfectly fine being yourself. Thank you, dearest Pat, for such a beautiful poem 🙂 x x x

Source of Inspiration

paint girl

I’ve spent a lifetime
trying to color within
the lines, yet knowing
I’m an outside -of-the-line gal.

I did not do well
at fitting in
being popular
never elected queen
of this or that.

Many people have
disapproved of things
I’ve said and done
which tells me that
I’m better at coloring
outside of the lines
than I thought.

There is a price to pay
but I wouldn’t want it
any other way.

Overcoming Phobias – Talk by Ajahn Brahmavamso, Buddhist Society WA

376580_443406145703907_1759383951_n

Good evening from a gorgeously warm and sun-kissed Surrey and I’m hoping you’re all enjoying your weekends.

You may have noticed that I have been posting a few articles related to soulmates, past life studies or reincarnation. These subjects have formed the epicentre of deep conversations with my Sister and Grandfather many times over the years. However, in recent times, the conversations with my Sister on these subjects have intensified in depth and focus, primarily because it is becoming apparent that… for want of a better expression… I am beginning to recognise a situation in my own life which falls under the past life/soul grouping category. I will attempt to cover my own thoughts on the subject in a later blog, which I hope to complete this week… and it may well become the most challenging, emotive blog I have posted to date.

However, I digress…

My intense studies into the subjects, accompanied with an ever deepening need for a stronger spiritual direction in my life have happily led me to the incredible talks held by the wonderful Ajahn Brahmavamso at the Buddhist Society in Western Australia. I have enjoyed listening to many of the incredible You Tube videos lovingly shared by the Society on their You Tube Channel. Due to the intensity of the recent studies, I have enjoyed listening to the Venerable Brahmavamso’s guidance, delivered in such a beautifully humorous, yet quintessentially English way.

The video sees the Venerable Brahmavamso sharing his thoughts on how to overcome the fears which can completely overtake the lives of those afflicted by phobic conditions. The past lives association is one of the many themes explored within the video.

I am delighted to share the video with you all and it raises plenty of food for thought. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I just wanted to say a big, heartfelt thank you to truespiritblog for helping me to understand and recognise the missing links… all makes perfect sense. Thank you 🙂

Twin Souls
Part of my spiritual awakening has been encountering this twin soul type of a relationship. I just read this article which perfectly describes my experience. I’m sharing the article in case anyone else has experienced this phenomenon.

TWIN FLAMES OR TWIN SOUL MATES.

In the previous posts I have mentioned about Karmic mates and Soul mates, here I would like to enlighten you about twin flames.
Your actual twin flame is the other half of your soul, eons ago when we parted from the source (GOD) we happened to be one soul, androgynous by nature, with the same DNA blue print, having both the male and female essence ,our soul along with all the other souls in the monad, were sent to the spiritual realm so God could experience himself through the different souls , but life can be experienced only in the physical realm, so a final…

The Journey

I was reflecting today on a conversation I had with my favorite aunt a few years ago. My aunt turned 80 years old this year. She told me that in life you will learn many lessons, some good, some bad, some painful, some helpful, but remember that the best is yet to come. Take everything that happens to you with a grain of salt. Try to be kind and compassionate and do good deeds even when it’s the hardest thing to do. I’ve admired her kindness, her wisdom, her spirit. She is loved by so many people. I hope that someday I have a niece or nephew or someone else who will look at me the same way as I do her.
