Twin Souls
Part of my spiritual awakening has been encountering this twin soul type of a relationship. I just read this article which perfectly describes my experience. I’m sharing the article in case anyone else has experienced this phenomenon.

TWIN FLAMES OR TWIN SOUL MATES.

In the previous posts I have mentioned about Karmic mates and Soul mates, here I would like to enlighten you about twin flames.
Your actual twin flame is the other half of your soul, eons ago when we parted from the source (GOD) we happened to be one soul, androgynous by nature, with the same DNA blue print, having both the male and female essence ,our soul along with all the other souls in the monad, were sent to the spiritual realm so God could experience himself through the different souls , but life can be experienced only in the physical realm, so a final…

“Do you know who I am?

I say “Namaste” because I like what it means, not because I am Hindu.
A lot of people here think that I am a Christian because they think I talk about Christian values, but the truth is I am really talking about human values.
I’ve been asked if I am a Buddhist just because I have discovered inner peace.
A lot of my friends are pagans, and they think I am one too because I say that being in Nature is my idea of going to church (worship).
Do you want to know what I really am? It’s very simple. I don’t need a label to define me. I am a piece of the universe, sentient and manifested, and I am AWAKE”

Thoughts About The Afterlife: Part One

Good afternoon from a spry and sunny Surrey.
Yesterday was one of my studious days. Revisiting notes of conversations with my Grandfather and Sister, reading some astonishing links attached to the absorbing tweets of my Twitter friends. It is with grateful thanks to one of those very friends that I chanced upon this news article, published on NBCNews’ Today.com website:

Doctor claims he has evidence of the afterlife.

The article covers the fascinating recollections of Mary Jo Rapini, who experienced her own Near Death Experience (NDE) after suffering an aneurysm during a gym session in 2003. Ms. Rapini’s case was one of the many cases meticulously researched by oncologist Dr. Jeffery Long. Dr. Long is also the author of ‘Evidence of the Afterlife: The Science of Near Death Experiences’ and the Co-Founder of the Near Death Experience Research Foundation.

Studying the Near Death Experience has been an interest of mine for well over 20 years. With the maturing advance of middle-age, one has broadened my interest in the mechanics of the Near Death Experience – focusing on the scientifics as well as the esoterics of the event, so to speak. My conclusions at this stage? Well.. each time one thinks one has found a solution, another question pops up to fill the void of what one supposed was a resolved issue.

The topic is one I have discussed with my Grandfather and Sister; their responses, whilst not lavishly detailed at this stage, have indicated that the process varies with each individual case. For example, my Sister has stated that the Near Death Experience of, say, a person suffering a heart attack is different from a person who has suffered an aneurysm, purely by the body’s physiological responses/defences during the actual event. She has remarked that Science doesn’t answer every question. Yet my Sister has also strongly asserted that scientific research should not be eschewed purely on the basis of the findings not quite tallying with a particular personal paradigm. ‘Nothing should be ignored..’, she says.

LEAVING THE PHYSICAL PLANE
My Grandfather and Sister broached the topic of the ‘first steps’ taken after leaving one’s physical body. Those tentative steps are discussed in ‘The End of the Beginning’. The following is an excerpt from Chapter 13’s ‘Leaving The Physical Plane’ (*1) – and offers a few morsels for thought.

“What happens after a soul has reached the end of their Earthly journey? Death is an illusion, that much has been said by Grandfather and my Sister. Grandfather has described the physical parting from the body as being ‘too easy‘. My Sister’s initial reaction to her passing was one of anger. It didn’t matter that her previous incarnations had all passed prematurely. Not only had she existed during the late 1800s/early 1900s as a young seamstress, she had also lived a life as a young soul during World War 2. Her (his) life journey ended when she (he) was 7 years old. It didn’t matter that she had already known she was going to pass at the age of 21. She had known this before her soul was absorbed into her developing body back in the early 1970s. Her attitude towards death had become humanised. “Conditioning…”, I can hear her saying now, “I was the ghost in the machine before I passed away.”

“When a soul leaves the body, you enter a tunnel. This tunnel is sometimes known as a portal. Actually, it’s the same as a black hole and the soul comes out safely on the other side. The journey is very rapid – takes only seconds of Earthly time. Once you leave the exit, you are in another universe or dimension. Consider though that the soul is an ephemeral being. No atoms exist to tear apart.”

Whilst my Sister was certainly describing the first steps taken by a soul after the moment of death, these steps are also related by people who have undergone the phenomenon known as Near-Death Experience. I have personally experienced aspects of this unusual journey. Grandfather’s dream-world visitation to me was certainly not the first time I had seen the tunnel and experienced its unusual effects on time…”

I have experienced what could be determined as a Near Death Experience. Although I have described the known event in the book, I shall happily share this experience in Part Two. Whilst one cannot guarantee any solution (and actually, it is probable that the existence of life after death shall remain one of the ‘unanswered questions’ for the foreseeable future), I shall expand upon Chapter 13’s contemplations on a phenomenon which, ultimately, changes the life of the experiencer forever…
